Welcome from the Headteacher

Welcome and thank you for visiting our Cranford Primary School website.  We hope that the information and content on this site will give you an overview into the life and work of our school.

At Cranford Primary School we provide a happy, caring and safe environment for our children.  We work very hard to ensure that your child's experience of school is a positive one, which encourages a love of learning and self-discipline from the very start.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection commended the "positive and calm environment for learning" which we provide and said "visits to the classrooms and discussions with pupils show that they enjoy their learning and are keen to do well".

Children in our school come from different cultural backgrounds; they have different religions and speak different languages. We celebrate and value this diversity.  We encourage the children to be proud of their own culture, religion and language and to show respect for those of others. A recent inspection by the Inclusion Quality Mark team said "the school not only ensures that pupils’ academic needs are met but there is also an emphasis on developing the whole child. This nurturing and holistic approach to developing pupils’ character is a key feature of the school”.

The curriculum in the school is well planned with a priority given to developing high standards of literacy and numeracy. Our work is supported by a good level of resources and additional staffing to meet the individual needs of the children. We work hard to ensure each child has acquired the study skills necessary for them to continue their development at the next stage of education.

A positive partnership with parents is vital in achieving our aims - indeed our mission Statement is "Learning Hand in Hand - Partners in Education".  Home and school must work together and we need your support and co-operation.  In return, we hope you will find the school welcoming and willing to listen and respond to your questions, concerns or suggestions.

We hope you all enjoy visiting our school as much as our staff love working here and as much as our children love coming here.

Thank you,

Mrs Meena Walia
