Rights Respecting Schools Award
At Cranford Primary School we are very proud to be working with UNICEF to educate pupils about their rights. We have worked hard over the last few years and are delighted to say that we have achieved our Silver award for this program.
UN Convention on the Rights of the Child
The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, is the most complete statement of children’s rights ever produced. It has 54 articles that cover all aspects of a child’s life and set out the civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights that all children everywhere are entitled to. It also explains how adults and governments must work together to make sure all children can enjoy all their rights.

Cranford Rights Council (CRC)
The CRC was formed to help educate pupils about the UN convention on the Rights of the Child. The CRC is made up of pupils and teachers who are eager to promote the rights within our school environment. We meet regularly and think of ways to introduce the articles into everyday school life.
