We are delighted to announce that the school has been awarded the Unicef Rights Respecting School’s Silver Award, following an assessment last week. You will be aware that we have been working towards this for nearly two years now. The assessor commended how well our children have embraced the language and rationale of the project which threads through the whole school, helping develop our children’s acceptance of difference and diversity, and providing them with a strong moral compass. The assessor also praised Miss Khabra, who has led this initiative with drive and passion. Thank you to Miss Khabra and also to the parents and governors who met with the assessor to share their understanding of the programme and how the school has implemented it. Feedback from the parents evidenced that many of our children have discussed what they have been learning from this programme and in some instances, teaching siblings and their peers from other schools about their rights.
