Spring Term learning in Maths:

 

Area of rectangles, triangles and parallelograms.

Measure and conversion between units of measure.

Perimeter of different shapes.

Properties of circles.

Time and time duration.

Data - interpreting different graphs, drawing pie charts.

Ratio and probability

Algebra and application

Properties of 2D and 3D shapes; naming of shapes.

Co-ordinates.

Autumn 2 learning in Maths:

 

This half term, Year 6 are learning all about fractions, percentages and decimals:

- finding a fraction of a quantity;

- finding a percentage of a quantity;

- converting between fractions, decimals and percentages;

 

Alongside this learning, everyday the children will practise their arithmetic skills.  

 

Parents:  We would love for you to find out about your children's learning on a daily basis and perhaps practise some Maths with them.
