I am a doctor currently training to become a GP after having worked in a variety of specialties including Emergency Medicine and Paediatrics. I have also completed a Masters in Health Economics and Health Policy during which I researched the use of digital platforms for delivering healthcare.
I moved to the area in 2019 and wanted to volunteer as an opportunity to get to know my local community. Having always had a strong interest in education I therefore considered becoming a Governor and have never looked back.
As a Governor it is my responsibility to support the Headteacher and her staff in fulfilling their roles. I get the chance to ask probing questions to ensure the children at Cranford Primary School are getting the best service possible that will enable them to thrive. I get insight into how the strategic direction of the school is planned and how this impacts our children. I have thoroughly enjoyed this role so far and look forward to what is to come.
