General information about Year 6

Autumn term update from Year 6

This term has been jam packed with lots of learning, fun and challenges along the way.  The children have enjoyed learning about Europe in Geography and have been able to create their own TV advert for a chosen European country; they have enjoyed learning lots of expressive art techniques and have realised that there really is not right or wrong when being an artist. In Maths, the children have continued with their learning from Year 5 and have been determined to master new concepts being taught to them - this will continue in to the Spring term.  English has seen the children study the book 'The Varmints' and they thoroughly enjoyed writing a persuasive leaflet to Santa Claus reminding him of this importance of being healthy.  Over the term, during their PE lessons, the children were able to learn new skills in football and dance with some fantastic dance routines being performed.

What a great term we have had in Year 6.  The Teachers and Teaching Assistants look forward to helping your further progress in in your learning in the Spring term.
