At Cranford Primary School, the safety, wellbeing and welfare of every child is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel secure, valued and confident to speak to a trusted adult if they are worried about anything.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. All members of staff receive regular safeguarding training and understand their responsibility to recognise, respond to and report concerns about a child’s welfare. We work closely with families and, where appropriate, external agencies to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.

Our safeguarding practice is underpinned by the latest Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance and other relevant statutory requirements. We have clear procedures in place for child protection, safer recruitment, online safety, attendance, behaviour and the management of concerns or allegations.
